MiraSkinLab or clinic skin imaging?
Clinics offer skin imaging (VISIA-type systems): a booth with controlled lighting and cameras that photograph and measure your skin. It can be cheaper than MiraSkinLab and it measures things a phone photo can't. MiraSkinLab doesn't measure: it reads your own photos, adds your hair and scalp, and gives you a full written plan.
Imaging starts from €35; MiraSkinLab is €49. Imaging can be the cheaper of the two. Pick it if measuring is what you want.
See a doctor, not an app or an imaging booth, when
- a spot or mole is new, changing or bleeding
- redness, a rash or breakouts don't settle
- you need a diagnosis or prescription treatment
MiraSkinLab fits when
- you want a written routine and plan rather than a printout of measurements
- you want hair and scalp covered as well
- you'd rather not visit a clinic or sit through a treatment offer
Using both
Imaging gives you measured numbers on the day; MiraSkinLab gives you a routine and a plan, with re-scans from home in between. They answer different questions.
The score and a preview are free; you pay €49 only if you want the full assessment.
